Hi - My halfbike will arrive soon and will become my default work commute. In addition to the #lights on available through halfbike, are there alternatives which are plug and play which will fit the frame. Any suggestions for swapping out the standard tyres for something that can handle puddles, mud and slippery tarmac? I've found the front tyre spins / doesn't get traction when pressure is applied to the pedals. Looking at 18 X 2.125 mountain bike tyres. Better grip and a little wider.

Hi Halfbikers, just got my Halfbike 3 two weeks ago. Now I could ride it in a straight line & turn at a corner. However, I still could not find any effective ways in performing a narrow U-turn. Would anyone here enlighten me with some tips and advices? Thanks!

Bought a halfbike 1 second hand and modified it. I decided to add a front brake and my choice was the A2D hub, 2 gears automatic shifting with 70mm drumbreaks. In order to add the second breaklever I had to mount 30mm handlebar extensions. Adding the front break was a real improvement in breaking power, especially for drivers above 95kg.

I would really like to know the crank length to understand the amplitude of the leg movement when compared to a normal bike. (mm) Thx!

this saturday, during my morning ride, my left pedal came off. Not being able to insert it anymore and thinking that it was broken, I tried to insert a new pedal, but mistakenly I put a right pedal. As a result I have damaged the crank arm and now I need a new left crank. Where can I buy a new one? Is it possible to buy only the left crank arm? Are there any special instructions for replacement? Riding a Halfbike is certainly not for everyone. You all now that it's a new skill that one needs to learn and it takes some balance, agility and special mindset to master it. We've seen plenty of people that give up after just a few tries and yet it seems that the ability to ride a Halfbike is not necessarily age related. Seeing kids or people with white hair that do better than most is a real treat :) And this also proves that becoming a Halfbike master it's not that much about age than it is about proper attitude. So what is the youngest and oldest person that you have seen ride a Halfbike?

I have 225 miles now on my new Halfbike 3 and after my last ride I found a spoke that broke just above the thread inside of it’s nipple. I don’t have experience with replacing spokes or truing wheels so I’m going to take it to my local bike shop for the repair. Is there a wheel or spoke make/model or part number that I should tell the bike store when I go in to get it fixed? Another question - What kind of sealant do you put in the tubes? I got a few big thorns in the area I was riding most recently and surprisingly it sealed up the punctures quite well no problem.
