Super loud screeching when braking on HB3

Anyone else experience super loud screeching when braking on a HB3? Seems to happen quite randomly at random speeds (ie. not only under hard braking or anything). Starting having this issue after riding in relatively wet conditions. However, issues persists even when riding in the dry. Doesn't seem to affect the ability to stop though, just rather irritating and perhaps alarming to those around me.

I'm sorry to hear that the brakes on your Halfbike are so squeaky. Note that this is not unusual and can be fixed easily. The solution is to use the brakes hard a few times. When you're moving at speed (or slight downhill) press hard a few times so you come to a complete stop. This will remove the thin layer that is formed on the surface of the drum and pads and the sound should disappear. That said, be careful so you don't hurt yourself as too much braking may cause a fall.

Hi there! I have the same problem. I tried your advice and it didnt work out. I been riding my halfbike for about 6 months straight now. The loud squeaking has been constantly present for about 1 month. Is there another thing i can do to fix this squeaking problem? Thanks!
