Indoor Trainer for HalfBike?
With the Covid lockdown, I’ve been trying to find a way to do indoor training with my HalfBike 2. I tried a Rexer Roller but it doesn’t work well - the balance is too hard and the wheel slips off too easily because of the shifting weight. Does anyone have any ideas for what might work?
Hi Nate,
We have certainly thought about an indoor trainer for the Halfbike and hopefully this year we'll have more time to develop and test it. If you'd like we can notify you personally if our plans for the trainer come into fruition.
We we have a client who managed to modify his Kinetic Z Roller to accommodate the Halfbike. You can check it out here >

Indoortrainer?
What a cool idea to transform the Halfbike in a full year training system :-].
Here’s an updated version of my Kinetic z-roller, I added two roller wheels to prevent the front wheel skidding. Previously, I had a metal bar mounted from the roller frame to the left side of the wheel axel, needs to remove the bracket for outdoor biking. Now it’s placed on and lift off. In either case, I still need to have my left elbow lean against a wall or something due to the Halfbike design. Having said that, it’s much more stable now and I feel that I might be able to eliminate the leaning against the wall with more practices.
The video is a sneak preview of my electric-assist Halfbike, the white brackets are 3D printed prototypes, I’m having them done in (cnc machined) aluminum as we speak.
Hmmm. Photo & video didn’t get uploaded.
Looking for the same thing. Tried with roles originally designed for motorbike chain maintenance, but it doesnt work. Would be interested to see some pictures on the updates o the Kinetic z-roller
Hi, are you still working on it? I would be interested too, the cold Season is coming...
No, we haven't even started :) Still on the drawing board.
