Hub replacement on halfbike 2

Hi, I bought an halfbike 2 some weeks ago and it's very fun

I was wondering if it is possible to replace the hub with 3 gears by the hub with 5 gears and drum brake from sturmey archer. I think the reference would be X-RD5. What do you think about it? Did someone done it? Thanks.

Hi Guillo, Halfbike 3 has a hub with 4 gears and a drum brake but the wheels are very different and are not compatible. halfbikes.com/compare

Yes I know but the idea is to keep the wheel and ask to a bike shop to change the hub.

Hi again Guillo, if you buy a hub with 5 gears you need to consult with a bike mechanic, we cannot guarantee that this will work! There are a lot of hub types out there and the mounting varies. Good luck!
