fixed gear ratio? right size?
nice to meet you.
1. First, inquire about gears (sprockets).
Where I live (Seoul), flat land and various types of slopes are mixed. Does halfbike offer three types of sprockets? Does it have a fixed gear ratio? I wonder which sprockets are needed.
2. I'm going to decide to buy a new one after buying a ride for me and my daughter to ride together.
I am 176cm/80kg/52y and my daughter is 171cm/45kg/15y.
I was wondering if the "L" size would fit me and my daughter.
thank you.
Hi Miungzin,
Yes, what changes with the terrain choice is the small gear sprocket, slightly helping on said terrain. For example, the flat will give you just a bit more speed on flats, while the hilly will make it a bit easier to climb hills. Here you can learn more about it >

According to your heights and weights, you both can ride a Halfbike size M with our regular springs. The system will auto-choose the best size, once you enter your measurements.
Let me know if I can help with anything else.
Thanks for the reply.
Then, if I input my height and weight, will one of the three S, M, and L be selected automatically?
I can't decide which one to enter between me and my daughter.
And when I select the terrain, will the sprocket be automatically selected as well?
Seoul is not flat and the slight incline is repeated over and over again, so you need to be able to climb the slope easily.
You can enter either one of your measurements, they will lead to the same result - a Halfbike sized M, with regular springs. Yes, both the sizes and the gear sprockets will auto choose the proper ones once you enter them. If you're in doubt about the sprockets, you can always chose the middle or the hilly one, the changes are quite subtle.
Actually, I wanted to buy a half bike from the first model, but I was hesitant because I was worried about customs issues. Considering the tariffs, it is by no means cheap to me.
In the past, the appropriate size for my height was "L". My height is 176 cm.
Is size L too big for me or my daughter (171cm)?
I remember that your website recommended size L for people over 170cm.
This is not correct. Even in the Halfbike 2 era a height of around 170cm would be a size M. For the Halfbike 3 a height between 168-180cm would get a size M.
Why my height is 162cm still get a size M at the first time? Even 2nd time I got size S. But I feel M is better for me to slide. No wonder you send me size M at the first time. However size S is more easy for me to step.
