Good morning, due to a knee replacement I have just below 90degrees of flexion in one leg. This limits riding a conventional bike. Will this limited range of motion prohibit use of the half bike?

I've purchased a great product during difficult times. We only had a few days to try it out before the complete lock down, it's now isolation time. I ride my HB3 for few times since I got it; as a beginner I did make few bumps on and off. Recently I notice my HB3 cannot go in straight line when I let it go on its own, it slightly drift to the left side. Of course if I ride it I wont notice it at all. I suspect the front wheel missaligned a bit but from the nut position it seems quite balance on left and right hand side. Does the bodyframe strong enough to substain the impact or its quite easy to get deformed? The 2nd issue I've got is the gear. Sometimes (very occasionally) it cannot jump to the desired gear, I need to move the gear box lever from 1 to 4 few times before it goes back to normal.

Since getting my half bike a couple of months ago, I've been trying to figure out a way to store it with the smallest use of space possible. I think I finally figured out a way to do it in my tiny apartment. I used a rubber tarp strap (like a bungee cord but less flexible) and wrapped around the wheel and put each hook throw a whole a create throw an Ikea shelf. I've added a photo to show the small footprint I'm using now for storage.

I'm considering buying a second hand halfbike type 2 before going all in on a type 3 but the seller doesn't know what size it is. Does anyone know how to determine the size of the thing (measurements etc) and is there a diy option if it's an S (I'm 1,87m)?

My chum Steve thought that the configuration of the gear / brake levers would be better swapped round. Ibe switched them and I’m going to test out the new arrangement.

I came upon the halfbike while trying to find a way to cycle after I hurt my knee (the angle a general bike requires exacerbates my injury). I was a commuter cyclist so not being able to ride was incredibly frustrating. The halfbike (I have a 2) has helped me give my knee a different workout as it recovers while getting me back cycling. I'm not back to commute-cycling the whole way at the moment (I don't have the stamina yet for the 12 miles round trip!) but I've been cycling to the train station, down an often wet and dirty cycle trail. She is very dirty now but has been handling the bumps, dirt, and puddles wonderfully. I've added a handlebar extender to the front for my light and bell (and moved the shifter). This is her by the river we cycle along most days (I walked her to this particular point - I haven't tried complete dirt paths yet).

Hello, I have a question, is there a big speed difference between the halfbike 2 and 3 on flat ground? And is it easy tot hold on with the highest gear on the halfbike 3? Thanks, Kevin

Hi== i just noticed the year end sale and the half bike 3 in my size is out of stock. I can't quite afford one now anyway and haven't yet connected with any ambassador where i can try one out. I never really got comfortable with normal bikes and like the idea of a totally standing bike. I think I'd feel more balanced and in control. In any case, I hope halfbike continues to be produced for the forseeable future so that if i get a little free cash I can afford one in a year or two. thanks.

I am looking to buy a half bike but living life in quite a hilly area. Does anyone have any experiences / advice re hills and how easy it is to ascend them Thanks Adam

If anyone wants more power out of their brakes, install the Odyssey Clear brake pads. I now feel more in control when riding where I may need to stop quickly.
